About the event

We are proud to collaborate with Fort Worth Film Club, to celebrate Women's History Month for our March Social- to watch the 1980 classic, 9 to 5 starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton as three office workers reporting to a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot.

The screening is free to the public at Stage West Theater. The pre-show starts at 7:00 PM CST and the movie will start at 7:30. As always, we will have a moderated discussion after the show.

About She Dares Collective: She Dares Collective was started to create a safe, inclusive space for women to show up authentically, confidently and get support to do big things. We gather to share our stories, celebrate, collaborate, showcase our expertise and make life easier for all of us.

About Fort Worth Film Club: Their goal is to build, grow, and foster an inclusive community of film lovers in the Fort Worth area. They host monthly, free to the public, screenings of movies, aiming for those with cultural and local importance, with a moderated discussion held directly after the movie. In addition, they have Patron only screenings and dinners as well as online screenings.

Movie Synopsis: Meet Franklin Hart (Dabney Coleman). The biggest "sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot" boss on the planet. He thrills in taking advantage of his head female office staff; humiliating, downplaying, and condescending against them whenever conveniently possible, particularly his top assistant Violet (Lily Tomlin). Long-exhausted over his gruesome bullishness, Violet, alongside co-workers Doralee (Dolly Parton) and Judy (Jane Fonda) comprise comical methods of "doing him in", when a freak incident occurs.
